1. House System : | ||
House system occupies a prominent position in the field of co- |
||
curricular activities which are organised in a healthy competitive | ||
spirit. Each student is alloted a particular house at time of admission,it helps the student to learn the | ||
great ideals of self discipline, democratic leadership, loyalty and belongingness to the institution. | ||
2. The school is divided into four houses, namely Bhagat, Cariappa, Manekshaw and Thimayya with | ||
their own flag. The House Mistress/Master and their associates are responsible for the working of the | ||
house. Students get good opportunities to take part in all kinds of activities held in school. | ||
3. Working of the House: | ||
In order to run the school administration smoothly each house is put on duty for fortnight, in turn the | ||
name of the house on duty is displayed. The working of the house on duty is adjudged by the House | ||
Co-ordinators. The house that excels in all house CCA activities during the year wins the "Best House | ||
Trophy" award. | ||
Besides other sporadic job the house on duty has to carry out the following duties: | ||
(a) Update the notice board meant for house activities. | ||
(b) Making arrangements for co-curricular activities. | ||
(c) Performing duties during recess time and examinations. | ||
(d) Each house elects its office bearers for the smooth conduct of co-curricular activities and daily | ||
assignment.They are nominated by the Principal on the recommendation of the Co-ordinator and | ||
House Mistress/Master as well as the house incharges. | ||
(e)Conducting the morning assembly is the responsibility of the class teachers. Each class in turn | ||
takes up this duty starting with the senior most class. Sequence of events during the morning | ||
assemble is as follows : | ||
Short prayer, long prayer, pledge, thought for the day common for all the classes from I-XII |
||
Poem recitation or story telling : Class I-V | ||
Speech, Quiz : Class VI-VIII | ||
